Amit Suri

Profile

Amit Suri, General Manager of the Cocoa Division for Wilmar Trading, is an experienced Cocoa professional – Trading Physicals and Derivatives as well as Cocoa Processing and Industrial Chocolate.

An Electronics Engineer and an MBA from India, he joined the cocoa industry 25 years ago by joining Olam Cocoa to start their Indonesian Cocoa operations in Sulawesi. He then worked with Olam in Singapore and London and was lastly the President & COO of Olam Cocoa. He also took some time in 2011 to work with Blenheim Capital, a leading Hedge Fund at the time, as Portfolio Manager.

He has been a member of the FCC Council and the FCC Contracts Committee and is also an FCC Arbitrator.

Paul Davis

Profile

Paul Davis is a cocoa trader and manager; currently serving as Global Head of Cocoa at Sucden Group in Paris. Mr Davis started his career in Cocoa with Pacol Ltd., London in 1986; subsequently bought by the Man Group in 1987, serving as Managing Director of ED&F Man Cocoa Ltd from 1998 until 2006; joining Tropix Capital (part of the Ospraie Wingspan Group) in 2006 as founding Head of Trading until 2011; Mr Davis set up as founding partner Holland Capital Ltd in London with two pervious partners at ED&F Man. Before serving the Sucden Group in 2016, Mr Davis served as Global Head of Cocoa at Noble Group (2013-2015).

Amongst other senior advisory roles, Paul Davis serves as council and previously as Chairman of the FCC (2000-2009; 2018-), director of the ECA (2001-2006; 2018-), Chairman of the Cocoa Advisory Group (CAG) at LIFFE (2000-2006; 20012-2014) and currently serves as Director for the World Cocoa Foundation (2020-).

Michel Arrion

Profile

Mr. Michel Arrion, is the Executive Director of the International Cocoa Organization (ICCO), based in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, since January 2019.

A lawyer by training, he has been an EU civil servant for thirty years, serving as Ambassador of the European Union in various African countries such as Nigeria, Rwanda, Liberia and Côte d’Ivoire.

Frederic Wenger

Frederic Wenger has been Head of Research at Olam Cocoa since 2014, where he is responsible for the overall analysis of the Cocoa Supply & Demand, with particular focus on the Demand side.  He has over 21 years’ experience in the Cocoa and Chocolate industry and in Soft Commodities markets, gained previously at Barry Callebaut and Noble Group.  Frederic is a member of the ICCO Expert Working Group on Stocks.

Oscar Tjakra

Oscar Tjakra is an Executive Director in Rabobank’s global RaboResearch Food & Agribusiness department. He is located in Singapore, and focuses on grains and oilseeds and soft commodities sectors. He is frequently invited to speak at various agri commodities outlook conferences.

Oscar was previously a RaboResearch Food & Agribusiness Analyst with the Singapore branch from July 2008 to October 2010 covering various sectors including grains & oilseeds, soft commodities and animal protein.

In his previous role, he was Senior Vice President of Freight Research with Oldendorff Carriers Singapore, where he led global supply and demand research of the grains & oilseeds sector.

Oscar holds a Master of Science in Applied Finance from Singapore Management University and Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) from Nanyang Technological University.
